Ki o Rahi
Ki o Rahi
For the past few weeks our class went out for Ki o Rahi on every Monday morning. We had a coach her name is Piuti. She was a good coach she made sure we were all having fun, and knew how to play the game.
The first time we played I had no idea what I was doing because I wasn't listening. But as we played I started to get the hang of it. Every time I got the ki (ball) I would try to sidestep everyone instead of touching a po (pole) and the scoring a point, because I just wanted to have fun. Playing Ki o Rahi was good fun because I learnt a new game and to always listen when instructions are given.

Today for the first block and a little for the second block we were doing an activity about suka (sugar).
We started off with 8 zip lock bags, bowl of suka, a teaspoon and at the end we used 2 pieces of paper colours of our choice to present and hang it on the wall. In my group it was me, Tj, Quinton and Leeroy. Our group was pretty successful.

Learning from last week and this week
Last week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday constable Taina came in to talk to us about drugs and the effects it has on our lives. Today she is going to come in again after morning tea to finish off with our last session, it is good that she came in so we know how our lives can be changed with drugs so when we grow up we know the effects, and we can make our own choices if we use drugs or drink alcoholic. Yesterday we had Mr Tafea, he is the man because taught us how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. He also took us out for sports after lunch, we played Golden child and rugby held.

My learning
Last week my writing group ''Korowai'' had to write a story about our own hero. This is my writing the title is called ''My Hero Omega''
My hero Omega
My heroes name is Omega, he has goldish curly hair and he wears a mask to cover his identity. His job in the day is working with the daily news, and at night he saves and protects people in his city Retail Row. His weakness is gold.
Omega’s special abilities are flying, fast healing, super strength and lightning bomb. He flies to the crime as fast as the flash, he bashes his opponents with his fists as hard as a hammer, and when he’s low on health he heals as quickly as the flash of lightning.
Omega’s enemies name is hammerhead, hammerhead got his name from the shape of his head. He has a suit made so he can breath under water and talk to other sea creatures. One way Omega can defeat hammerhead is zapping him with his lightning bomb, and one way Omega can be defeated is if he gets shot by a real solid gold bullet.
When Omega is on holiday he spends time on his favourite island ‘’Tonga’’ and hangs out with his family. He drinks coconut and eats mango's relaxing in the sky flying. Omega is cool as ice and that's why he’s my hero.
Here is another writing that I did about our play based learning.

My learning from last week and my weekend
On Thursday last week Room 13 went to kiwi can. It was fun at kiwi can because we learnt new games and learnt about leadership. Being a good leader is about taking responsibility to lead people to do the right thing. Also in the weekend David came to my house and we played some NBA 2K18 and Fortnite. After that David went home and I had a barbecue. The following day went to church. Then after church I went home, had some of the leftover barbecue then I had a sleep.

Welcome to my blog
My name is Christian. I am full Tongan and I have a big family. I am a year 8 student at Glen Taylor School.
I like playing rugby because I get to play with my mates and centre is my favourite position. My favourite subject is writing. My challenge is maths. My goal is to improve calculating square roots.
I am looking forward to interschool sports. I am also excited for tag coming up this week.
