Ki o Rahi

Ki o Rahi

For the past few weeks our class went out for Ki o Rahi on every Monday morning. We had a coach her name is Piuti. She was a good coach she made sure we were all having fun, and knew how to play the game.

The first time we played I had no idea what I was doing because I wasn't listening. But as we played I started to get the hang of it. Every time I got the ki (ball) I would try to sidestep everyone instead of touching a po (pole) and the scoring a point, because I just wanted to have fun. Playing Ki o Rahi was good fun because I learnt a new game and to always listen when instructions are given.

Today for the first block and a little for the second block we were doing an activity about suka (sugar).
We started off with 8 zip lock bags, bowl of suka, a teaspoon and at the end we used 2 pieces of paper colours of our choice to present and hang it on the wall. In my group it was me, Tj, Quinton and Leeroy. Our group was pretty successful.

Learning from last week and this week

Last week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday constable Taina came in to talk to us about drugs and the effects it has on our lives. Today she is going to come in again after morning tea to finish off with our last session, it is good that she came in so we know how our lives can be changed with drugs so when we grow up we know the effects, and we can make our own choices if we use drugs or drink alcoholic. Yesterday we had Mr Tafea, he is the man because taught us how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. He also took us out for sports after lunch, we played Golden child and rugby held.
